RX Roll Head

Description

The RX Roll Head is a jig head built around one specific action: a smooth side-to-side roll on the pause.

That top-heavy design does something a standard ball head won’t — it tips and rocks between jig strokes, which means your soft plastic is moving even when you’re not cranking. I designed this to work with the 4″ RX Slug and RX Dragon Tail, and it’s been a tournament go-to at MDR on days when SoCal inshore bass are lazy and need something a little different to commit.

The roll is the whole point. Most jig heads go dead on the pause — this one doesn’t. Tracks true through current, hangs in the strike zone, and gives you that extra beat of action on the fall that gets pressured fish to commit.

How to rig it: Thread your soft plastic onto the hook and nose it snug to the head. Fish it on a slow retrieve with deliberate pauses — that’s when the roll kicks in and does the work. Works best with slim-profile baits like the Slug and Dragon Tail where the head’s action can translate cleanly through the body.
