The RX Paddle Tail is a handcrafted paddle tail swimbait built for SoCal inshore bass. That thumping tail kicks from the first second of the retrieve and doesn’t stop. Tight enough to stay composed under pressure, wide enough to push water when the current picks up. When I need to cover water or get a reaction bite, this is the one I reach for. These are the same handcrafted paddle tails — just a colorway you won’t find anywhere else.

The Chovie Death drop started at a fuel dock after seven hours fishing Spotty Bowl. I cracked open a Dr. Death, took a sip, and thought that’s a color. Three colorways, all gold body bait fish variations. Dr. Chovie is your black back with gold — classic bait fish profile. Bluechovie Buzzsaw brings in the blue and gold and kicks a Dorado hue depending on the light. Chovie Reaper is purple and gold. If you know you know. How to fish it: lead head or RX Roll Head for a standard swim retrieve with tail action on the pause. Texas rig on a 4/0 or 5/0 EWG for a weedless approach around structure. Cheapskate trailer when you want extra kick and water displacement. Add an RX Belly Weight when you want extra depth control without switching to a jig head.
